Below are the German Shepherds currently in our foster program and available for adoption. Every dog listed here is living in a foster home in Western North Carolina, where they're receiving love, training, and veterinary care while they wait for their forever family.

## How to Adopt

Interested in one of our dogs? Here's how the process works:

1. Browse the dogs below and read their profiles.
2. Fill out an [adoption application](http://www.saveshepherds.org/contact).
3. Our team will review your application and reach out to discuss the next steps.
4. If approved, we'll schedule a meet-and-greet with the dog and your family.

We take matching seriously. Our goal is to find the right home for each dog, not just the fastest placement. If the dog you're interested in isn't the right fit, we'll work with you to find one that is.

## A Few Things to Keep in Mind

- All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption.
- Adoption fees vary depending on the dog's age and medical history.
- We require a home visit as part of the adoption process.
- We adopt to homes within a reasonable distance of Western North Carolina.
